ROYAL DOULTON BURSLAM ENGLAND MATSUMAI BLUE & RED PLATE
Beautiful Antique Royal Doulton Matsumai Pattern Plate.
Royal blue, brick red, and gold guilded around the edge of the plate and throughout the design.
The code, D1620, on the back of the plate indicates a date of 1903 and the Royal Doulton Mark was used between 1902 through 1922. I could not determine an exact year. There is also an incised mark along with some numbers.
The plate is in great condition, very vibrant colors and no paint wear. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. There are 2 very small areas with light discoloration and some visable crazing.
I have two of these vintage plates up for auction this week. They appear to be from the same original set.
The photos were taken with flash and under incandescent light.
